I love this because, if you’re like me, the longest-standing tradition passed down generation to generation is that we rest on the Sabbath. Yes, indeed, but this was during the time of the Old Testament. Now, with the New Testament, God has given us a direct connection to Jesus. And on the Sabbath today, it’s not about rest, eating, and watching a game. Instead, it’s about resting, putting all things at the foot of Jesus, and breathing. It’s like we, you, and I are Teslas. And for real, we need a recharge; we have to recharge our spiritual batteries. I beat you, the people who made electric cars had no clue that it’s a metaphor for recharging with Jesus.
